One Should be Proud of Oneself for Setting Love’s Sail Forward my Good Mateys!

Some people, I’ve seen this, do not have the cognitive ability to see they are wrong. The closest they get to awareness is self-pity and regret for what they feel they have suffered in the instance where they are told they are wrong.

Though they do cry Oscar worthy tears for their own pain, they do not like themselves so to them your “self-love” talk is asenine. Love yourself and let that be enough to walk away.

Courtesy of Peter Paul & Mary:

There is a ship and she sails the sea
She’s loaded deep, as deep can be
But not as deep as the love I’m in
I know not if I sink or swim
I leaned my back against an oak
Thinking it was a trusty tree
But first it bent and then it broke
Just as my love proved false to me
Oh, love is gentle, and love is kind
The sweetest flower when first it’s new
But love grows old and waxes cold
And fades away like the mornin’ dew
The water is wide, I cannot get o’er
Neither have I the wings to fly
Give me a boat that can carry two
And both shall row my love and I

Last, don’t try to save them, they’re adults that choose their own path (often stubbornly) 24/7 365 just as everyone has to. You’ve chosen to love yourself, you’ve chosen right. “One Should be Proud of Oneself for Setting Love’s Sail Forward my Good Mateys!” ❤️ Damien Riley

Ps I know it’s hard. I’m gonna go cry now. Why are some people like this? 😿

‘‘Twas the legs that snared me.”
